Our brief for Delisse was to design a modern interpretation of a French market place for the sale of French baguette’s with tasty fillings and treats for office workers in the city. There was an emphasis on authenticity that needed to be carried through into the design, as well as the food offer.
Black metal screens with overlapping diagonal supports reference the construction elements of market halls whilst patterned tiles on the counter pick up memories of market stalls. Industrial finishes have been used in the space but with a more polished look. Images of French markets on a photograph wall show the inspiration for what will hopefully be a successful franchise business.
